RACE SUITS

There are plenty of tracks outside of the UK where race suits are not mandatory. However, I have never been to a track in the UK where you can drive without a Race Suit. I also strongly recommend to buy one for safety reasons.

Safety

Kart suits are designed differently to Race Suits. Race suits are designed to be flame-proof incase of a fire. However, Kart suits are built to slide. For example, if in a rare situation you fall out of the kart; the suit is designed for you to slide along the ground and away from the kart. This is to reduce the chance of you being hit by the kart and reduce injuries caused by contact with the ground.

Styles

There are multiple options of Kart suit to chose from many different brands. The most popular brands are OMP, Alpinestars and Sparco as they are the safest and most reliable. Each of these brands have several types of Karting suits in plenty of different colours. However, for a little bit more money, you can have your suit personalised with your name, number and favourite colours!
