Leaning

A lot of people think that leaning into a corner will create more downforce on the side that's lifting up. Others lean in as they think the kart will turn in quicker, like a bike. However, this is not how it works.

Karts are rear wheel drive and do not have differentials. This means that the karts are powered by the rear wheels and they move at the exact same time. By leaning in to a corner, you will be unbalancing the kart from putting weight on only one wheel of the two rear wheels. This will unbalance the power of the kart and cause it to start spinning.
